There's this hilariously exaggerated sense of romanticism about English people and our accent to your average American. They just can't get enough of it. It's actually a fairly common observation I guess, as that video clip shows. I mean yeah obviously they exaggerated on it comically in that clip, but the main reason it's so funny is because it's true.

I guess it can maybe happen with other accents (French would be one), but none more so than English from what I've seen.

Hmmm aint you from Birmingham? If so nothing cool about that accent at all, It's terrible. But if the american girls seem to like it there is hope for us all.

Yeah Penelope cruz accent works for me. I loved her in "Blow" Also thought she was great in that movie she just got an oscar for, Vici/ paris or whatever the fuck its called, never liked the movie but she was excellant.
