I had this down to a science when I was a teenager. The experiments were so successful, that much like gravity, the effects can be accurately predicted on 100% of occasions.
Here are the steps:
1. Be English.
2. Meet American girl, ideally in a college environment
3. When they say "I love the British accent. Say something!" (and they will), simply respond with anything. Exaggerate your accent and slip in stereotypical British words and phrases if you think it's hilarious that they'll believe you. At this point victory is guaranteed lol.
Seriously guys it's so easy. One time when I was 16, I found myself in a hot tub with 5 hot college girls within half an hour of meeting them.
There's this hilariously exaggerated sense of romanticism about English people and our accent to your average American. They just can't get enough of it. It's actually a fairly common observation I guess, as that video clip shows. I mean yeah obviously they exaggerated on it comically in that clip, but the main reason it's so funny is because it's true.
I guess it can maybe happen with other accents (French would be one), but none more so than English from what I've seen.
Putting stuff together without instructions and...kissing. I'm awesome at pool when I'm drunktoo. Am I the only person that's more coordinated when drunk? I trip on air when I'm sober.
