It's worth checking out a few albums. If you like Raspberry Beret, buy the album that it's from, "Around The World In A Day", for example. The great thing about Prince's albums is that they are each an individual work of art with a unique style. No two albums of his sound the same.

Smashing Pumpkins are a great band too, I love the Melan Collie album. I think Billy's voice is something you either appreciate or don't like. But he is definately a talented guy.

I don't have the whole album yet, but "Androgyny" is a wicked track. I love Shirley Manson's voice, and of course, Butch Vig is a wicked drummer and producer.

Jesse Johnson's Shockadelica. Minneapolis guitar funk at it's finest. Check for track 2, "Crazay" featuring the one and only Sly Stone.

I don't have this album yet as it can be quite difficult to find, but I have one track off it, "Intimacy", which is the fucking JAM! You can hear this track here.

It's the 1987 eponymous debut by Minneapolis musician and Prince associate St. Paul, who was previously a member of two groups Prince had put together, The Time (Paul was recruited after Jam & Lewis were fired), and then after Morris Day left and The Time split up, Prince put together a new band with Paul, Eric Leeds, Jerome Benton and Susannah Melvoin called The Family, who did one album before Paul left the Prince camp to go solo. The Family were the first to release the Prince-penned track "Nothing Compares 2 U", which Sinead O' Connor later covered and had a number 1 hit with.

Anyway if I can find this album I will be copping it for sure.

Guys, this is the forum for NON-hiphop. If you're listening to 'Pac or The Game, you should head on over to Life or StreetHop sections.
