I wrote recently in my blog about a visionary sports entertainment television producer who was talked about on my man's radio show on 99.5 in New York because the producer knew all about Damian "jr gong" Marley, long before Damian into fashion. My man discussed this producer, from a world where Reggae is not recognized, knowing all about Jamrock and Road to Zion.

So I did some research on the producer, and found out he knows a lot about street music and has done a lot to bring all cultures into his world.

Paul Heyman introduced pro wrestling to hip hop in 1993 when he used Onyx's SLAM video for The Public Enemy, and then used MC Lyte's RUFFNECK for Mr. Hughes. His visionary approach to pro wrestling continued in 1994 when he debuted Coolio's awesome FANTASTIC VOYAGE on his ECW tv show as a video that told the story of The Public Enemy's trip to Terry Funk's legendary DoubleCross Ranch. Lots of hip hop performers got their work exposed on ECW, including the first national exposure for 3-6Mafia.

My boy was right in talking about Heyman not limiting himself to the traditions of pro wrestling and playing just rock n roll or country. Heyman brought the street culture to the extreme faithful, and brought the gritty reality of the music to his original ECW product.

Britney Spears can lick the residue off my dreads, mon!

As I said in my blog, this next spliff is for Paul E's musical tastes!

Thats cool to know I guess. I wasnt watching ECW back then, but I remember when WCW went through their whole Hip-Hop stage, which I guess they copied from ECW.

I was one of the few to actually watch ECW on Friday nights and it had great wrestling and extreme matches hence E.C.W. (Extreme Championship Wrestling). It could sadly never compete with the big boys WWE and WCW because they never had a budget and could not get a good storyline to go if it killed them.

Paul Heyman was one of the first to equate hip hop and wrestling together even to the extent of popular Rock with the Sandman's entrance music to Metallica's - Enter Sandman. But in those days 1995'ish wrestling was very saturated, you could get youre fix anywhere at anytime with indy shows and such, ECW just could not get off to the levels of WWE. As ECW closed so did WCW and now wrestling is not as popular as before. I'll stop my rambling to say that Paul Heyman does want to come to work to WWE since it is the only product out there, but WWE does not want to hire him. It is a shame because the man has talent and is great on the mic when he is a heel.

Heyman just quit WWE 6 years

How can you say Heyman wants to work for WWE? He just worked there for 6 years and quit over the summer.
