interetsingly...have there ever been a posthumous Pac album whose SINGLE was released before the album ??? Nope.........unfortunately...except "Ghetto Gospel" single perhaps.

I remember "I Wonder If Heaven Got A Ghetto" burning up the local airwaves before "R U Still Down" dropped...

...which Suge had zero input.

Hip Hop is dying, it is in a state of stagnation. This 2pac album will be better than anyhing put out in the hip-pop genre this year.

thats a 2pac album!!!!
it will leak like other albums before.
exactly, most popular albums get leaked before their release date. it something that cant be helped since the label execs do it a lot of the leaking.

lol.

1. how can you say that when you have no idea who has been handling the new album production-wise?

2. of course it's gonna be better than anything hip-pop, but that's not saying much though. this album could easily turn out ass compared to a lot of stuff that's dropped this year that's hip-hop.

3. do you listen to anything besides hip-pop? (curiosity without implications)

Laugh out loud all you like smart arse.
1. All it needs is a couple of unheard songs from the great man to be an album worth buying regardless of whatever instrumentals are behind it.

2. What do u consider Hip Hop? The Big Bang? Nah dont kid yaself lad its all shite these days with very few exceptions. No originality anymore. A pool of producers doin beats for any mother fucker with enough money is sufficating the genre.

3. Of course i dont listen to Hip Pop, thats why i am slating it. I enjoy all kinds of music. I listen alot to Pac because he is a true artist. Nobody comes close to him these days in hip hop. You seen Stop Snitchin DVD by The Game? What is goin on with hip hop today? Its like wrestlin aimed at a kids audience with a few dick head adults still watchin.

first of all i wasn't being a smart ass, and still am not. no reason why we shouldn't be able to have this debate without arguing.

my point was that first of all, you said pac would beat most of the hip-pop that's put out this year, but of course he will. hip Pop doesn't cover all the good music that's been put out this year. the "rap has gone shite" argument doesn't hold grounds. yes, 99% of it is wack, but that doesn't mean that the 1% left isn't dope, and if you invest some time into checking out new stuff, that 1% is gonna be worth it. nevertheless, i'm not saying you should and better check out new stuff. if you enjoy the old shit then by all means, keep listening and hope you never wear it out. i sort of did though, and that's why i like to listen for new shit. the pool of motherfuckers comment only applies to hip Pop, not hip hop, because like i said, there is a lot of good shit that doesn't fall into the hip Pop description, and your comment was altogether obvious since hip Pop is considered shit by most people on this board. i'm still not being an ass by the way, just saying it like it is or like i percepted it, but if i got you wrong, correct me :)

and i did not check out the game dvd. i actually haven't checked out anything but a few tracks of his because i hate him with a passion. yep, that makes me a hater. what.

anyway, putting all the technicalities aside, the essence of your post, that tupac's upcoming album is gonna be the shit, is an assumption. assumptions do not walk hand in hand with "is gonna be." had you said "i have a feeling" or "i hope" i probably wouldn't have made a reply. i was high and felt like spiting someone, sue me :D

Precisely. I'm so fucken sick of people saying 'hip-hop is dead'. There have been so many good releases this year I'd say it's more like 65% whack 35% straight dopeness. You can't let hip-hop come to you, you have to read, listen, experiment and find it.

As for the new 2pac album... I don't agree with the whole buycotting concept. When there's talk of this being the last 2pac release, if no one buys it makes a future release even more unlikely. If it sells then perhaps we'll see more material. Id rather have to compromise on quality than have nothing at all.

Most importantly, I think that Amaru HAVE to do something on September 13th - if there's absolutely nothing at all it will be a huge let down from the official side of the scene.

Anyway in the traditional style of anticipating 2pac material this is all talk, we don't know shit and we'll just have to wait and see.
