Download the Black Friday ads app for Android. I was looking through it and saw similar deals, but with brand name TVs, like Samsung.
Although it is a great price, I've just never heard of the brand.
Yeah the price is fine but it'd be better to buy an used but good TV if you need a TV and you're on a budget. I know that the price is tempting for a "brand new" thing but usually it's better not to buy it, unless it really is a good deal but on a good product.
I want an HDTV, between 40 and 46 inches, and less than $500.
Apparently it's a Chinese brand that's been selling domestically for decades and has recently made its way into foreign markets.
Oh well, that'll be quite hard in this price range. You won't get anything great

we have alot of "low budget" brands of electronics such as Bush or Goodmans in the UK, while they are good deals, the lifespan on them is all ways short, we couldn't afford to splash out on a big tv in the living room so we purchased a Bush 32" model, while it does its job, its developed a blue line through the screen, brown patches and also images burn onto the screen very quickly leaving a temperary ghosting. the tv also lacks features, for example, while it has 1080p hd componant, the hdmi is only 420p, no PIP, and really doesnt offer much more than just a screen.
i've had my Phillips 19" in my bedroom, which i purchased a few months before, and its still in 100% working order. this tv is feature packed, PIP, PC Monitor, 2 1080p HDMI, Digital Tuner etc etc.
So my advice is, if you just want "a screen" that you dont mine replacing a couple of years down the line, buy the cheap TV. But if you want value for money, spend a bit more cash and save money in the future.

Yeah if you don't mind having a shitty TV that might break at any time then go for the deal from your first post because it's quite good And I'm serious, it all depends on what you need. You can't expect the same build or image quality as on a few times more expensive set but it'll do its job.

First off, it has a two year warranty. So that's enough of a life span for me. Secondly, it'd be pretty much solely used for my PS3 and perhaps hooking up my laptop here and there to watch something. One of the reviewers mentioned that his PS3 works just fine on it. The issue with paying for a high-end $1000+ HDTV is that in two years, the price might be half and the features might be outdated. With this Google TV stuff and Internet-enabled TVs, I feel like there's going to be a LOT of changes in the next two years. I'd rather get something cheap with a two year warranty to satisfy my wish to play my PS3 about one hour per day (right now, I have a nice 42-inch Samsung LCD in the living room but I hate playing PS3 in the living room) and then two years down the road when I'm not living with mama anymore, get something real nice.
I love Samsung TV's.... Just picked up a 40 inch for £350....
That seems to be the price for an LCD these days. They are dropping fast. If it isn't 3D or LED.... It's very reasonable.

Yeah i've noticed they have dropped in price recently, my 19" phillips i purchased a few years back cost the same as my best friends brand new 32" sony bravia internet enabled tv.
To be honest, im more than happy playing my xbox on 19" tv. Maybe cos my laptop and pc monitor are both 19" as well im used to it, but i dont see much need to have it any bigger.
Though i will admit, when I spent time at XBox HQ playing Halo 3 on their 70+ inch screen was pretty epic.
I had a projector for a bit. But it was a gimic, I got bored. A 40 inch does me. Well... For my bedroom. In the living room I need 46+.
Yeah same here. I'm used to playing games on a 40 inch LCD which is about 1,2m from my face. It's awesome. I also thought that a 21inch LCD monitor is enough when I played it like that but getting a bigger TV has changed the whole experience for me. Even split screen multiplayer is fine.
Yes sir, Toshiba released a limited series of 19" HD Laptops but they didnt sell well due to it being equipt with a HD DVD drive. Back in its day, this laptop was a beast, the graphics card was better than the one in my home PC which was a gaming model. I've had it a few years now so the specs are that impressive, but alot of new games still play beautifully.
