it has been said time and time again that he was a man of many contridictions...but then when i thought about it i couldn't really think of anything he said then went and did the opposite...can any of ya'll think of a time when he contridicted himself?

Lil Homies
"got my diploma but never learned shit in school"

Pac's Life
"picture a high school drop out rollin in a double r"

yeah i mentioned that not too long...i asked if Pac Graduated or not and i got some yes and some no so i don't know about that

when he went jail in 94, he said thug life was dead, he came out for in 95, more hyped with it than ever. but no harm in changin his mind, the media just associated that with contradiction.

Yeah, and then people like Mobb Deep saying "Thug Life, we still livin' it" really got him hype to start it back up.

But on the other hand, usually when people go to prison, they talk one thing, then get out into society and eventually fall back into their old lifestyle. (Mike Tyson becoming a muslim, then getting out and eating pork(Holyfield's ear)).

lmao

He contradicts himself in "The Good Die Young", lol....

at the beginning of the song, he says "all this judgement on other lives needs to stop"

at the end of the song, he says "may your enemies be deceased, dead on the streets"

very hypocritical.....but, no big deal. He was a human being like the rest of us, and everyone has said something hypocritical at one time or another. Again, he was a human being, not a robot. He expressed different emotions at different times, depending on how he felt, which is what made his music so great.

i noticed that shit too .. i was thinkin to myself "damn he really does got 2 different people inside him" when i heard that shit .. its crazy that in the same song ..his emotions go can go seperate ways

His contradictions seem to be as much of a weakness as they were a strength.

Weakness: It made him hypocritical at times, and it changed the way some people felt about him.

Strength: It gave him versatility. The fact he had a double edged upbringing and split personality made him able to write songs about so many different things.

"I'm livin' raw 'til they bury me don't worry me
I'm high livin' like I ain't afraid to die"

"Please Lord don't let me die tonight"

the contradictions are in his actions and personality

between the sensitive innocent kid and the hardcore gangster
the loving son (about his mother) and the hate to his father
the contradictions between "wonda why they call you bitch" and "never call you bitch again"
drugs and weed
friendship and rivalry
the biggy thing, friendship and betrayal
...
the list goes on, you can make a whole thesis around this

read Dyson's book, he mentions the dualities and contradictions of Pac

in homeboys...

pac start off sayin "you aint shit without ur homeboys".. and then starts dissin the dude in his verse...

at the end of the track pac goes "we aint shit without our homeboys"... like wats goin on der??
