Oh, I just noticed that you're listing YOUR top five albums of 2005. Well, you're the only one that knows. Find a list of release dates for this year and pick them out.

From what Ive heard, in no order.

Boom Rap Project - Reprogram. (<- totally surprised me, very dope boom rap album with hints of a Tribe/De La sound)

One.Be.Lo - S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M. (<- underground solo LP of the year, proved his got the rhymes and the flow. Pretty original)

Common - Be. (<- very mellow which is exactly what I like, just an overall dope record)

Blueprint - 1988. (<- my personal favorite, great production and original at that. Rhymes aren't the greatest but do stay in theme with the LP's title which is concept of hiphop in 1988.)

as for my fifth, I have to wait because Im going to pick up a few LP's later today which include (Little Brother - The Minstrel Show, Blackalicious - The Craft, CunninLynguists - A Piece of Strange, Prince Paul - Hip Hop Gold Dust)

So it's still up for grabs..

great year for hiphop, mainstream was at a suprising low rate and the underground produced some real gems.

peace.
