don't know if this is new or old but here's an interview with tim roth that has some interesting info lol:

You worked with Tupac Shakur on Gridlock'd -- many people said if he'd lived and kept acting, he could have won an Oscar
. . .

Actually, I didn't even want him to be in the film -- I didn't know who he was. I just wanted an actor, not a musician. But we went to a restaurant and he came in with an enormous entourage and he sat down and auditioned for us. He knew so much about the role and I got on with him like a house on fire. There are tapes of me and him rapping together, recorded at Death Row Records! I'm hoping they've been burned, though. It was one of the nicest relationships I've had with another actor -- I found him to be incredibly talented. I used to call him "New Money" because he had a massive Bentley and a different model sat in the car each day, and he used to call me "Free Shit" because I always used to get loads of free stuff from companies. It's a shame what happened -- I think he could have gone on to be quite something as an actor.

the director of the movie confirmed that pac and roth had a good relationship:

"Gridlock'd [1997] was the second movie I produced. It was Tupac Shakur's last movie. He and Tim Roth had a fantastic relationship. It was one of those movies where everyone had a great time making the movie, which is rare. Tupac was a total pro. Then you wake up the next morning and read about what he did the night before, after you wrapped, and he was out gangbanging with his friends and you think, who is this guy? How can he be such different people? He couldn't get out of the other life, even if he wanted to. [Tupac was murdered soon after.]"

I was reading Tim's AOL After Chat from February 4, 1997 and someone asked him this question.

Question: Did you learn any cool gang signals from 2PAC?

Tim Roth: Go to the mirror, raise your fist, stick up your middle finger.

Cool info.

And don't jump on the producer for saying Tupac was "out gangbanging" - it is quite clear that this is only the impression the producer got from the media.

Tim Roth is a dope actor. Doesn't stun me that they got along fine. They look like they have a bond by just putting them in the same room.
