I prefer Kanye's album, but I can't really give fair reasons until I listen to each more. I'm a little burned out on the Diplomats right now, though. They completely saturated this summer with product and a detox is necessary.

Have you ever read 'Orientalism' or any of Edward Said's works? If so, what do think of his ideas?

I've never read any of his works, though I've been meaning to. Based on what I know of his ideas ("The Orient" was a Western fiction that ended up being used to justify colonization, and his modern politics), I can't say I disagree with them, and the premise of Orientalism seems like an obvious truth to me. Again, though, I haven't actually READ his works so I'm just agreeing on the general ideas here.
