1. After the disposal of the body, the death certificate, the fuss raised by loved ones, I don't know. I try not to think
about it too much, because I don't want to live my life the way I do for the wrong reasons.
2. Pac - Crips. BIG - dunno who pulled the trigger, but Suge told them where to aim.
3. Beanie Sigel, Common, Z-Ro... I can't think of very many rappers who are doing anything impressive lyrically these
days. There's a lot of cleverness and humor and virtuosity and people flowing their asses off, but sheer lyricism?
There's work to be done.
4. Anticipate trends, get the right production, figure out what's your hook.
5. Cam'ron, Jay-Z
6. It was okay. Nas is capable of so much more.
7. I expect a lot of hype, a couple of good songs, a couple more good songs that don't end up on the album,
proclamations that Nas is finally making a comeback (never mind that that's what's said in every cycle),
proclamations that the album is great, and then people will stop talking about it as they face reality.
8. Yes, as long as you enjoy it and it doesn't unduly hurt you academically.
9. He made great music. I don't know anything about his post-Beatles material other than
Imagine, which I like.

11. "Renagade", "BM J.R.", "Mama Gave Me", "Guess Who's Back",
10,000 Bars.
12. MF Doom. I could say something like Doom's a better rapper but Madlib's a better producer, but I enjoy
Doom-produced work more than I like Madlib-produced work. It's a peanut butter and chocolate question, though.
13. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special, in retrospect. The good songs on it are good and replayable, but the
bad ones aren't. I don't think the Beatnuts have done anything decent since the joint they did on there.
14. I don't know. Japan and Germany would be the hegemons. Judaism would be interesting. The gap between the rich and the poor would be extremely wide, even in the world's most advanced nations. It's hard to tell. There are lots
of factors. All those European protectorates. The USSR. China.
15. Canada, Pakistan.
16. No.

18. Sports, women, current events, obvious common experiences (minorities make friends faster).
19. I don't use lines. You just have to find an opening, isolate them, and keep them interested (which usually means
keep them talking). If you've ever taken a dog to obedience school, what you learn there is also applicable in trying to get laid (or all human interaction. Uncomfortable, but true.)
20. Yeah.
21. Naw, man, the current Jim Jones is the best we're every gonna get.
22. The pattern of rhymes in a verse/stanza. Your basic hip-hop verse is a bunch of couples: aabbccdd (I write this example rhyme / In very little time / It sure isn't ill / But my purpose it will fill / I'll never have a rapping career / When I step the mic screams "Don't come near" ) --> rhyme/time, ill/fill, career/near.
