Vodka is something I get when I'm close to broke but still wanna go out. I don't get the idea behind spending a bunch of money on high end vodka though. I know this is what everyone says about a particular thing they have no idea about, but I taste no difference between vodkas. I'm a fan of cognac and whiskey though.

Edit: whenever I'm feeling ghetto I get vodka and orange juice

Polish vodka motherfuckers. I was surprised to see some of our bummy vodkas as mid-class or sometimes even higher-class alcohol types in north America. I don't mind things like Finlandia or Bols too, they are all fairly inexpensive but as good as you might need vodka to be.

When I want to get drunk it's just straight vodka because that's how people do it here. On most parties I enjoy drinks though. Coke with vodka or rum and such. I lost interest in beer a year or so ago. Come to think of it I rarely drink.

Vodkas do have different tastes. Stoli is dry and burny. Belve is smooth and has a good aftertaste....imo. One is not better than the other, just a matter of taste. Cupcake vodka which is geared towards women I guess? The most disgusting thing I've ever tasted.

vodka is generally meant to be taken as a shot. same with tequila. that's how you know those types of liquor are a complete joke imo. of course, they're meant to be in cocktails but you know what i mean.

even the most hardcore russians (and ukrainians) i know, hold the bottle in the freezer and take shots instead of sipping on it. because they don't like the taste.

most people i know can and do sip on whiskey and brandy.

in the end, i don't give a shit, i'll drink most alcohol. if you order a shot of vodka, i'm not gonna refuse it. same with tequila.

Are we the only two SH guys who smoke? I'm on that Newport 100 shit. Since December 12, it's the only vice I indulge. Still, it will kill me and I have to stop. Unfair.

In a bar, I usually have to drink JD and Coke. As there isn't too much choice... ( I would frequent better places, but my friends aren't so happy to spend the money)....

If I am in the VIP area of a club. Usually order a bottle of vodka and a few mixers, as it keeps the majority happy.
