Seventy years ago today, John Winston Lennon was born. I don't usually make commemorative threads, but this is a big one. I can't say anything his music didn't, so I'll just post some links and videos to remember him by.

John Lennon was murdered six full years before I was born. I get emotional when I think about him anyway. I almost miss the guy myself. I know that sounds ridiculous. There was never anyone like him.

Also... Great man. Great Music.

You seen the film nowhere boy? Quite good. Better than breakbeat. The guy who plays John Lennon is the main character in Kick Ass, which is a bit strange.

I must admit, I am totally not a Beatles fan nor of any of the side projects.

That said, of course I cannot and will not deny the quality of their music, especially the lyrics, the impact they had on society and music in general, etc etc. They were an absolute milestone and Lennon was perhaps the biggest one.
