pac had 5 years, 5 years!!!! maybe about 8 or so if you count MC new york and early digital underground. but im sure nas has stuff like that before he was famous to. nas has been around for about a decade, yet his numbers compare nothing to tupacs.
I am not a numbers man either, but 2pac did have low numbers in his early days. but it doesnt matter because it was because of who the media made him out to be. and these days people like shitty party music more than deep meaningful music. meaning if pacs numbers were a real representation of his talent. then he would be god compared to nas.2pac worked harder in his 5 years than nas did his whole life, he made bigger accomplishments in 5 years than nas has in his 10. and despite low numbers during his life he still managed to sell over 30 million copies of al eyez on me(correct me if im wrong)
if pac was still alive i doubt hed be makin CD's i think hed be helping the outlawz put out a good CD and producing and just running a buisness. Nas hasnt really established much of a buisness compared to what pac would have established.
and right before pac died. he had a lot left to give to the rap game. and he was getting better at an extremely increasing rate. if he would have been granted 2 more years of life. the standards of good rap music would have been set so high that crunk would never exist. i mean just look at tracks recorded in the makaveli period, they prove what im saying , showing his rapidly increasing skill. he put out the 7 day theory during this period also, and he did it in seven days. and he sold out every black record label in one year. sure i guess you could say illmatic was as good as 7 day theory even though i dont like nas. but what took nas years and everything he had, his heart and soul took 2pac 7 days.if tupac would have lived longer to put out 2 or more CD's no one would even mention illmatic in the same sentence as the name tupac.
