The official "What Did 2Pac Mean?" thread!

Ohh..money. Haha that makes plenty of sense.

I have another question. From the song "Lost Souls", 2Pac says

"Maybe I was just a lost soul, trapped in time
Livin' in between life, and the cracks were blind"

What does the second line mean? I don't get it at all..it seems like he was almost trying to be poetic or something but was just too high to have it make any sense.

I'm not sure what he's saying, but I'm pretty sure you got the words wrong.

"Maybe I was just a lost soul, trapped in time
Livin' in between life, in the cracks ??????????"

I don't know what he says but it's not "cracks were blind"

"and the cracks were blind" are the correct lyrics..but that's a good question...it could mean many things...what i believe is that either he said it just cause it rhymes...or what i think he meant by it was...there is a saying about life...that many people can "fall through the cracks" meaning that you can easily end up on the wrong path....so when he said that the "cracks were blind" he might be trying to say that it can happen to anybody cause if the cracks are blind it can't discriminate and go after only one particular type of people...kind of like when they say justice is blind

Maybe this is not exactly about the topic but I couldn't find a better place to put my request...

To the point - I'm translating Tupac lyrics to Polish language so people in my country that are not fluent in English could understand what he was talikng about. But since I'm from Poland I can't understand correctly / perfectly some words or phrases that Tupac used, so I'm looking for somebody from US, who'd help me by giving some useful explanations.

You will not spend much time with this, so please if you are true Tupac fan and you have little time, help me out. Your help will not be forgotten! I'm doing it for free for the best, non-profit Tupac website in Poland and many people in my country are expecting Tupac lyrics to come out the way they can understand. Remember, Tupac is worldwide!

I prefer e-mail contact and if are willing to help, please PM me and I'll get back to you.

That makes even less sense: But suckers is born every day, and fear of man, growing trees. No way.

It is: "But suckers is born every day, and fear man grow on trees."

What he's saying is men dont grow on trees, they're born like other suckers. A man is easily a sucker, not to be feared. Something like that.

Always wondered what he said in "Smile for Me Now"
"no fairytales for this young black male
some see me standed in this land of hell
jail and crack sales
Hustle _______ of culture
the repercussions of back stabbin vultures"

Could never make out what he said after hustle.
