Always wondered what he said in "Smile for Me Now"
"no fairytales for this young black male
some see me standed in this land of hell
jail and crack sales
Hustle _______ of culture
the repercussions of back stabbin vultures"

Could never make out what he said after hustle.

Ain't it something like: is hardly nigga culture

My Block verse one:

''My heartless breath
The underlying cause of my arrest''

Could anybody describe those lines in other words?

That whole verse appears to run on the same theme. Pain.

This to me is just Pac's poeticness, making reference to different things.

His heartless breast...he has said he is heartless many times

The underlying cause of his arrest...meaning he was arrested for unjust reasons, not because of crime.

uh ok lol...
he's saying that the content of his lyrics are the real cause of his arrests, not necessairly a real physical crime.

^^^Your first line from "16 on Death Row", Pac says "Before I take your life, first lesson with these mics", I believe!

And from "Smile" I always thought he said "Hustling and hardly think of culture, or the repercussions while busting on back-stabbing vultures", I guess meaning being known to hustle but not helping the cause, that being taking away from culture fore' you'd rather contribute to it's downfall and torment it through the tales of drug dealing to make that money, but when it needs your assistance and for U to take a stand and be a leader U won't show your face, basically that and then some not wanting to recognize it for the beauty it could very well possess, all along culture just needs your help as much as want to escape try to change it to the best of your ability, therefore when U do achieve your goals of rising above that it could be somewhat that much better for the remaining folk to reside there even if they go back to their stubborn ways, at least U tried to make that change...remember just my take, my perception!

"But suckers is born everyday
And fear of man, grow on trees"

^ I've always wondered what this meant (?)

It just means fear is plentiful.

The more common saying is "money doesn't grow on trees" meaning you don't get money for nothing.

By saying "fear of man grow on trees", he's primarily saying there's a lot of fear & scared people.

''Cause when they come for me they find a struggler
To the death I take the breath from your jugular''

The jugular is the most prominent vein running through the throat.

I guess "jugular" & "throat" can be interchangeable at times like "brain" & "head".

Now by saying he's taking breath away, I always took that he meant he was taking people's life away - as, without breath you tend to die lol. That said he could've just meant he leaves people stunned.

thanks Dante, Yeshua, and TraynAllDay. Yet another one from '16 on Death Row''

''Before I take your life, first wrestle with these, mics''

I believe the line is "first wrestle with these mice (plural of mouse)".
Listen to the song with the word mice in mind and you'll see what 2pac did to get into deathrow..Its pretty gruesome.

Yeshua...I think it's got sumthin' 2 do with the fact the sum words r eternal and that alot of the lyrics 2Pac wrote, came true - for eg. 'God Bless The Dead' written b4 biggies death - thus the thinking ahead bit (fighting with my pen...maybe because the pen is mighter than the sword)...anywho thats just my interpretation...

Cheers,

ok this has been said many times the biggie mentioned on god bless the dead is someother biggie i think a producer of pacs who was dead when pac rapped this song, not notorious b.i.g..

really we need a sticky with all these repetitive questions being answered in one thread.
