The Official NBA Thread 2011-12

i just read this on yahoo...

With traffic snarled and no police escort to take them to their hotel, the Lakers could do nothing but sit and stew. Before long, someone recognized Phil Jackson sitting in the front seat, and then the rocks began to fly. Revelers pelted the bus and shook it, mocking the Lakers at their lowest moment.

After the 08 finals. I guess the Lakers are playing with a little more motivation than they did before...

^lmao yea nba tv is great

yea i was thinkin chicage too. they got a lot of young talent.

i dont know about the nets. they got cap flexibility but its the nets lol.

two records are on the line this finals. phil jackson always had a 3peat and celtics have never lost a series with a healthy starting 5.

ahaha, nets owner is a billionaire... lebron wants to be a billionaire. trade harris, and sign a bosh... or a stoudemire.

I heard on ESPN that phil jackson is giving his players 50 bucks for each charge they take... that's definitely raising Fisher's salary hahahahaa.

id think he'd have a better shot being a billionaire without the nets plus if he signs with another team he loses an extra 20-30mil unless he does a sign and trade. he aint gonna win shit them. all he can get is business tips from the owner.

Jason Smith of ESPN Radio's "NBA Today" podcast reports that an NBA general manager told him the Heat offered Michael Beasley to the Nets for Keyon Dooling and "Rod Thorn turned them down". Smith described Thorn's decision as yet another indication of how badly the Heat want to get rid of Beasley.

However, a look at the two teams' salary structures show that it may be more about cap space. Beasley is scheduled to make $4,962,240 next season while Dooling is only owed a $500,000 buyout on his $3,828,000. The Nets have a team option on Dooling exercisable June 29. So taking on Beasley would have reduced the Nets' cap space by nearly $4.5 million. It would have made the Heat much more competitive in free agency this summer as well, giving them more than $25 million to spend...as well as Dwyane Wade.

lol do yall believe it? i honestly aint surprised if its true. theyre too dedicated to the 2010 free agency.

^^I can't wait either :D

Sneek peek at Bryant's shoes for the finals, detailed pics should be available later today. I don't get the colorway but, I like them anyway.
