Oh come on. For showmanship alone you have to give it up to him. He worked a huuuge crowd into a frenzy. And if you don't like Angels then you have no soul.

^wow that is a very interesting concept that is being done. Signed my name as well. Hope it works but I don't know it will with Bush and all. I would have loved to see our troops going to Africa and helping them out with Rebels and rebuilding/building process.

Still some sort of a phone number for donations would have been a plus.
Nah, you're not getting it.

There is a G8 summit being held this coming week in Gleneagles, Scotland. The G8 is comprised of the 8 leaders from the 8 most powerful nations in the world. The aim of Live8 is to raise awareness &, in turn, put pressure on the G8 to do 4 things:

1. Cancel African debt.
2. Increase financial aid considerably.
3. Introduce fair trade.
4. Help Africa stamp out corruption by ensuring African governments are transparent.

In a way, the fact that you are not aware of this, kinda means they failed. But then, as I'm telling you this, I guess they succeeded.

Yeah I am pretty much out of the loop. I even told my friends about this live 8 and they didn't even know it was going on. Just don't have time to watch the news, just trainning trainning trainning.

Yeah, I know officer.

The thing is, seeing as the shit is getting held here in Britain, it seems we're the only ones who are truly aware of what's happening. At the Philly concert, British TV presenters were commenting on the lack of awareness regarding the concert's purpose.

It was a great show. Jay Z and Linkin Park were great and Snoop was good too, "Drop it like its Hot" was hot. And I was lmao at Peter Kay "Its time for the penultimate act of the evening, give it up for the Spice girls!!... You what? who? The Who!!!" I bet that Victoria Beckham shit her pants.

I doubted the idea at first but it really opened my eyes and I hope that good comes from it. Respect!

i was lucky enough to go to the London one yesterday which was amazing, my back is killing me today tho from standing up for almost 10 hours straight!

Snoop was good..even though he swore as soon as he came on at 6 30 in the evening.. poor kids!.. U2, Sir Paul and Pink Floyd were the best for me.. also Robbie Williams got a crazy response and really made a good atmosphere

it was definatley the best one of the lot, and we had a pretty good position, only about 10 or 15 rows from the front... ive never needed to go to the bathroom and had to hold it for so long in my life tho..

Jonathan Ross was funny trying to apologise for it. " Your meant to keep dogs on a lead in parks and as soon as you let one of the leash thats what happens. A Motherloving good time there from Snoop Dogg"

I signed my name I hope this works, I think the only way to end, or seriously try and stop it is by political pressure.
Did anyone see the orphan video in the watch this section on the Live8 site? That shit was so sad :( And the street kids one, a 2 year old living on the pavement couldnt walk yet cause rats had chewed her toes off! Its sickening whats going on, and that people who can do something about it are ignoring it. Well lets hope people who can get to the summit make that impossible.

The highlights I got from Channel 9 here didnt show bearly any from the American one, mostly from England and I have a feeling I missed half of the show anyway. Does these links still work? I tried one and it froze up my computer. EDIT: Watchin it now.. I love how Ms Dynomite did Redemption Song, perfect song for the occasion.

What a talentless twat robbie william's is!
I dont mind his mainstream stuff but he is in his prime doing old style songs like on the DVD Live at the Albert. You cant deny his a great entertainer.

Well i can really cuz it depend's on what kind of entertainment you like, can he whip the crowd into a frenzy? yes!

Robbie williams was in a fagotty boy band take that, when he left he just dissed his former friend's for no reason other than to get some hype, then he claim's he started doing drug's( he was in and out of rehab in 6 month's) everyone who know's anything about drug's know's that's complete nonsence! obviously said it to impress the uk public, i know that sound's stupid, but if you want to go to number 1 in the uk that's the way to do it, or do a song about cartoon's or some shit!

He also had this dude writing all his song's for him and when the guy said he wanted to do a song for someone else he binned him!! what a selfish prick! he also won an award last year for best song in the last 10 year's or something, an he just about forgot to thank the man who wrote it!

Damn, I don't like Geldof but for once - just one time (hehe, too much Braveheart for me) - admitted that shit might not change, saying that if they don't change shit, & they shame us, we won't be cynical.....we'll bite our tongues...but then when YOU come looking for OUR approval...at the ballot box.......FUCK OFF!!

That was something tangible I felt...if you get what I mean. He was showing the people an avenue rather than just talking a good fight.

Isnt it sad that because the bombings in London we didnt hear anything else about the G8 or what they actually decided for Africa?

i just hope live8 turns out alot better than live aid did. live aid did more harm than good.
This is a joke, right?

Anyway, Pink Floyd stole the show. Geldof has done it again and this time I hope he gets the Nobel prize he deserved the first time around.

Travis, Texas, U2 & a bunch of other acts.

George Clooney, Susan Sarandon & Brad Pitt were among the non-musical celebrities to turn up.

And over here we still heard about the G8 although, obviously, it didn't grab as many headlines as it should've. The fact is, the information is there for anyone who wants it. Bush, Blair & the rest of them rely on people's apathy to hide their shame.
