I think the main reason for Obama's popularity is indeed that "he speak good". And Bush always "make bad words".

Actually neither Bush nor Obama ruined the economy, neither did Clinton.

It's kind of the Fed's fault. The Fed decided in the late 90s, during the inflation, to lower the lower the federal funds rate. Basically if the FED lowers its funds rate, the banks have to lower their interest rate on loans.

So he basically increased the inflation during inflation. During an inflation, you are supposed to stabilize the economy by increasing the rates to stop people from borrowing money, hence consuming money (kind of what Nixon, the Republican, didn't do). Greenspan believed that the market will balance itself out and the economy could only grow. It did not.

The Fed is independent from the government by the way.

That's the bad part, because we have absolutely no idea about what they do with the money they print. Bernanke isn't going to tell you what they're going to do with the money once these bailout bills pass. He can just simply tell you that ''it's none of your business.''
