I haven't watched but just looking at the list of the winners in the rap category has me stating the obvious - the Grammy's have lost touch with hip-hop. But then that statement has me saying the Grammy's never were in touch with hip-hop. But I remember back in the day a Grammy meant something. Now I feel like it's a bigger honor if your CD is picked as top ten of the year by popular hip hop blogs.

Censorship in the USA is weird. They'll block off words like 'shit' or 'bitch' and a pair of boobs, but they'll leave in a man being torn apart by explosions or gunned down like a dog.

So, go figure. You should watch the documentary "This film is not yet rated" that came out in 2006. It's all about movie censorship, and the means behind it.

I've seen most shows with the word bitch censored when I tune into American channels... obviously, Showcase and HBO don't give a fuck lol, which makes em awesome.

The reason TV networks censor anything is because of the FCC but probably networks to a point censor themselves for whatever reason. Here's something I found:
FCC decisions have found the F-word and the S-word to be actionable in awards shows presentations and in a PBS documentary on blues singers. In contrast, FCC decisions have concluded that the following expressions were not profane:
 ìHell,î ìdamn,î ìpenis,î ìpissed,î ìtesticle,î vaginal,î ìass,î ìbastard,î ìbitch,î ìorgasm,î ìbreast,î ìnipples,î ìcan,î and ìcrapi
Since like the 11th grade or so of high school for me, they started letting "bitch" go uncensored on most TV shows. It was a big deal here. I think if a show does bleep the word, it's more because of it's own issues, then because it's actually against the law. I've heard bitch on shows like big bang theory which is like PG rated.

In our tv you won't even hear anyone saying "idiot" or "tit. They will more likely replace it with "fool", "breast" or something. However I always found it funny how in American movies (played with lector here) you can hear "son of a bitch" etc. in the background. I remember being a kid and watching many American movies from the 80s where words like these were pretty common.

What did Pink perform?

Her last hit I know of was that one about getting the party started or whatever.
She sang "Glitter in the Air" which is new. I don't know what it's like in America but in Australia pretty much anything she releases will either be #1 or top 10. She did 58 shows in Australia for her Funhouse tour.
