Film & TV The Dark Knight

^ my lazy bad for not checking the current movie credits.

Why is Scarecrow in this movie though, I ask? Batman has beat his ass once, hasn't he learned his lesson? Maybe this is their relationship in this movie though. Batman as Scarecrows driving instructor, teaching him "Fuck Crows, watch out for flying Bats!" lol.

A recurring theme in the Batman DC Universe is that he doesn't kill his adversaries. His parents were killed and one of Batman's ideologies is that he doesn't kill people, he hunts them down to let the justice system deal with it. The whole part about his parent's killer getting let off and Bruce's lack of faith in the justice system is a part of his process turning into Batman. It's why he suddenly went out traveling in the first movie.

Anyway, with none of his adversaries being killed, they just get locked up at Arkham Asylum until they either escape, or something else happens. Scarecrow doesn't need a larger reason or explanation for being back, he's a villain, he tried to destroy Gotham but failed, he still hates the world though. He's still a lunatic. Now he's just got a lot less to lose. I bet he tries to take on the Joker and then the gas doesn't work on him, that has got to be a scene in this movie.

Yes Pauly I seen the pic. I had to question it though, anybody can wear a mask, even the joker.

Preach -you really think scarecrow will take on Joker, rather than be allies? Batman is their common enemy.

I think they will be allies, but again, I must nerdly point to the "batman lore" if you will. I don't even have to go there though, it's luring in the background in the first film as well that Dr. Crane, beyond using his knowledge of fear as a weapon he is very intrigued by the brain and its power over the body. Obsessively, I imagine him being very intrigued by the Joker's chaotic and illogical mind. The Joker basically never makes sense, when you expect him to be scared he's laughing his ass off, so you see the dots I'm trying to connect? It makes sense for Scarecrow to work with the Joker, but I can just imagine that he either tries the gas on him as some experiment for his own interest, or that he tries to overthrow the Joker by using the gas. (Or as part of some larger scam to try and get in with Batman, that could potentially become a plot in the third movie.)

Edit: Another thing I can imagine is this. If you haven't seen the two trailers and the first six minutes, don't read on. In the first trailer, Alfred goes "and in their desperation, they turned to a man they didn't fully understand", talking about the mafia listening to, and going along with the Joker's plans. I'm guessing the Joker presents a rather simple plan (trailer 2, "it's simple - kill the batman"). In the six minute scene that was put out, the Joker is robbing the mafia bank. I'm guessing he does a lot of very bold shit, proving he's one to listen to, then gets them all to go along with him. Then, throughout the movie, his simple plan unfolds in a way the mafia didn't expect. I think the Joker is just using them. In this larger scheme of things I can imagine that Dr. Crane, who worked with Falcone, maybe works with the mob to stop the Joker with his fear gas.

According to the creator, Chris Nolan, at the point in Batman's life timeline we're at with Batman Begins and this next movie, Robin is still a little baby. This is the beginning of Batman, Robin wasn't introduced until Batman was an established renegade crime fighter.

I'm excited too.

I forgot to make a point earlier with the Joker/Scarecrow stories. Basically, I think I read a Batman story in a comic once that went along the lines of what I proposed above. I'm thinking the gas ends up having no effect what so ever on the Joker, something which would be even more intriguing (and terrifying) for Dr. Crane

Im not watching any more trailers online or any viral marketing or pics or nothing.

Ive bought my tickets for Gold Class the night it opens, $35 each, I got two tickets. I was probably the first person to buy them at this cinema that is how excited I am. They sold out in like a day.

Im going to sit there in my big Gold Class recliners with some beer, nachos, cheese platter, ice cream and whatever else I decide to order and ENJOY!

^^I'm seeing this movie at midnight for sure, and unlike last summer's craptastic Spider-Man 3, they haven't shown me the enitre movie in the 18 trailers released. Out of all the pics, trailers, press, I still don't know what the plot exactly is, man I'm so excited for this movie.

Also I don't expect Batman to start emo-dancing out of nowhere.

haha the emo dance was hilarious.

but spider man we all knew what was going down, but with batman we know nothing. the 18 million of trailers released doesn't give much clues for the storyline which is fanfuckingtastic.
