^^Yea its looking likely now. It was worth the wait.There is talks of Liam Brady, whom Trappatoni managed at Juventus, or Claudio Gentille being his assistant. I think Brady would be good. He has done great work with young players at Arsenal.

Hes played well and scored v Arsenal before, played well against Chelsea earlier this season. I do criticize him actually for his performances against the bigger teams, but he has had a handful of good games against them.

When was the last time Steven Gerrard scored against United in the league? (Hint: Cristiano Ronaldo was 15 at the time)

Doesn't mean he's not a good player. Like 2Pax said, the big teams are better equipped to deal with him. And, he's a winger. If he was a striker who never scored against the top teams, there might be some cause for concern.

I never said that he wasnt talented but before i will even consider him to be among the best players in the World, he will have to start producing against the best teams and in big matches. We will see how he gets on in the latter stages of the Champs League and Euro 2008. He is still young and has plenty of time to prove the doubters wrong. People who label him as a great player right now when he hasnt achieved much annoy the hell out of me. He has a bit to go yet.Same goes for Messi.


And i will be first to admit that Gerrard is an over-rated player.

Well how can you consider Kaka a great player if he doesn't produce in the small games? He scored six goals in Serie A last season, Ronaldo scored nearly three times as many. Of those six, one was a consolation against Inter, three were against below mid-table teams, two were against relegated teams.

And he did scored against Milan last season, lest we forget.
