Of course im gonna be critical of a Villa defense that gave up 3 goals to Stoke last week.When was the last time they kept a clean sheet before today? You are so deluded. There isnt a hope in hell of Aston Villa going above Liverpool until ye start beating teams like Stoke. Come back to me when Villa actually win a cup of note.

Take Barry out of the Villa team and they will struggle. Man Utd are missing Ronaldo at the moment and they dont play as well. Same for Arsenal when Fabregas is out. We lost Torres after 20 minutes today as well btw.

every team has a key player that they will miss at some point if they are out. so of course we would miss barry. stoke actually played well that week and were looking for a good home start to the season, they had the fighting spirit and determination. so fair play to them.

oh yes. what a good victory. fully deserved. We played some great football and were the better team for most of the game apart from the first 20 minutes.

I thought Alonso had a fantastic game.Mascherano was good apart from his bad start. He really drove on towards the end. Our defense was brilliant. i was very impressed with Riera. He showed some brilliant touches and looks a very good player. Hopefully we can push on from here. Obviously Man Utd miss Ronaldo but dont forget we were without Torres and Gerrard for most of the game. I thought Ferguson's formation was questionable. Rooney was shoved out on the right to accomodate Berbatov. Tevez was class as usual. Van Der Sar had a nightmare.

Aren't we lucky that Alonso wasnt sold

Just listened to Ferguson's interview now. He really is the most sickening fucker. How can he argue against Vidic's sending off. and then he said Liverpool's victory was down to tackling and harassing the Man Utd when they had the ball. Yea Liverpool did that well but Liverpool also played some lovely football today. Give us some credit for that. Some of the moves Liverpool put together were excellent. We should have won by more.

spurs have had a few decent chances though. the second half should be much better.

Yeah. They need some more experience at the back. Good expereice not Cannavaro who hasn't performed for quite some time, but after he won the WC everyone was like "OMG BEST DEFENDER IN THE WORLD" please. Dude was awful for Juventus in his last season and been poor for Real Madrid too.

Barca still haven't won.

villa win. conceded a goal on 87. yet another clean sheet ruined. nearly made it 2 in a row.

my jaw literally dropped when harewood missed his opportunity. all he needed to do was a one-two to himself and shoot. then the game would have been killed off making it 1-3 to villa.
