For a long time I have had this song and have essentially "slept" on it. Only after hearing it with full attention a few days ago, I realized it is abnormally dope for an early Pac song. So some questions:

1. Will a better quality version ever leak? (where did this version even come from?)

2. When did Pac record it? Any ideas?

3. What was Pac's intention for this song? Cut from 2Pacalypse or Strictly?

4. Any idea why it wasn't released on a CD? Couldn't get the sample cleared?

Anyone else think this track is fire?

1)who knows, now we have the bare Q version
2)2pacalypse era I believe
3)2pacalypse I believe i've seen a pic posted up here where the song was listed on.
4)each album has cuts, dunno why this one didnt release.

2. sounds like 90
3. guessin 2pacalypse
4. i think it was redone with some dude doin the hook cant remember who though, this was back in 03/04

well, i have a dub of a personal mix tape of songs he made, and several of the 90-91 og songs are from that.

Is this the origin of You Dont Wanna Battle?

I find that to be a similarly dope early Pac track. Pac sounds so young on it yet its heat.

You Don't Wanna Battle is retail, it's from 5150 - Illegally Insane.

i just looked at the tracklist for all of 5150's albums, and I don't see Pac featured on any of them..........nor a song entitled "You Don't Wanna Battle." I've heard the song, but didn't think it was retail.....any more info on this?

It's a Hidden Track from Illegally Insane.

Pac planned to release Tears Of A Clown on 2Pacalypse Now. Here's an early tracklist.

The track was remixed with TQ - for Loyal To The Game I believe - but it obviously didn't make the final cut.

Is the remix of Tearz of a Clown with TQ available anywhere online? Anyone got it? I'd love to hear it (even if it is on an Eminem beat).

Nah.. there were 2 more songs remixed with TQ... In The Event Of My Demise and Dope Fiend's Diner... none of them are available.

Were they completely scrapped or were they planning on saving them for future release?

Also, that mp3 of You Don't Wanna Battle that we all have cuts Pac short at the end. Does the retail version actually have a proper finish?

ThugPoetry.com: A couple of years back you did three 2Pac joints. What are the names of the songs and who did you do it with?

TQ: The first one's called "Tears Of A Clown". I did that one with Mike Mosley. It's 2Pac rapping on it and me singing on it. I did another one called "Dope Fiends Diner". That's me singing on it and 2Pac rapping on it, produced by Shock G from Digital Underground and then the other one is called "In The Event Of My Demise" and that's me singing on it, 2Pac rapping. If I'm not mistaking Soul Shock and Carla produced that. Honestly I don't know who produced that one, but those are the three that I did.

When you do business with Afeni you basically sign your rights over. She pays you right there, you'll never see any else from the song. So I couldn't tell you what records they're coming out on if they're coming out cause they were done so long ago. I can't tell you if they'll ever see the light of day. I can't tell you that if they come out I'll still be the person on there singing. She paid me for them, I did them and that was it.

ThugPoetry.com: You don't have them in your personal collection either?

TQ: No. I couldn't get copies or none of that. I mean, she paid well for it. It was Pac shit, I would have done it for free.
