I was probably more of a fan because all I used to do was listen to Pac (and Michael Jackson actually). I used to listen to Papaz Song over and over again and to this day it remains one of my fav songs.
KAMIKAZI said:To all the people saying Pac's Life is better than Loyal To The Game, you are wrong. I think the only reason people believe that is because this album is causing less of a stir than Loyal To The Game did. Why? Because fans are actually getting used to Pac's material being massacred (as sad as it is).
There are definitely more bumpable tracks on Loyal To The Game than there is on Pac's Life.

I didn't miss the point of the thread, I just didn't have any comment about it (except maybe "I agree" but I didn't want to bust a carmi).Rukas said:Pacs Life is better than LTTG because they didnt make Pac say shit he didnt say on this one and didnt destort his voice.
But regardless, you missed the whole point of this thread if youre comparing both of them...

Rukas said:Meltiger put it this way, when Im over your house and we drinking beer, would you EVER pop Pac's Life on (and I dont mean just to spite me hehe)? No. The album is trash, and I wont hold my breath for another good one, I did that after LTTG, and to some extent have been doing that since UTEOT.
And Tha_Dan, Ive been listening to Pac since 93. I was 10.
why do u think that people werent fans of 2pac until after his death just because u werent. I started listening to 2pac in 1992 as well once i heard I get around for the first time and saw him in the movie Juice which i snuck into see at the movie theater. All of my cds and tapes were bought THE SAME year that they were originally released...not in the years leading up to his deathrow days and death.THA_DAN said:i believe that, but you were not a fan to the same extent than the years following his death.
i mean, this is far from a real pac album, but dumpin' alone kills any track released since better dayz.

Chronic said:This translates to "they screwed up less", which means they still screwed up. We're not talking about an invention, this isn't supposed to be a trial and error process.
Pac was a great artist and deserves nothing less than a great release. Subpar is not the standard so Amaru doesn't deserve any kind of props. If they can't live up to those standards then they should just let him rest in peace and stop butchering his work.
These half-assed releases are an insult, not a tribute.
masta247 said:LT speaks in the intro. I'm sure it's Pac at 0:21 of Pac's life.

RUSD - Dated beats, doesn't sound anything like Makaveli
SIR - Outlawz fucked it up
UTEOT - The Hooks sucked
BD - This Life I Lead sucked
L2TG - A Piece of trash
Pac's Life - Not enough Pac
This is a summation of 10 years of bitching from people who are *lucky* they have an internet connection and have been able to download bootlegs. Every single time an album comes out, there is something wrong with it.
The fact remains, we are not going to get original versions released, except in the rare cases where they don't have the Master DATs. Why, for 10 years do people still complain when they *know* Amaru will never release the songs in their original (& in many cases - shitty (World Wide Dime Piece was a piece of shit, and 30 seconds of listening can show someone why that was never released previously)) form?
