Palps face melts because of the heat caused by the saber and lightning, notice it doesnt burn like lightning or electricity would make it. Getting hit with the lightning doesnt scar you like that, so that is why Luke wasnt. The emperors face only melted when Mace's lightsaber was brought closer to it.

So I wonder who's really the choosen...?Ani or Luke 'cause that's Ani who kills the Emperor and who finally brings the peace back in the galaxy...

I really dont see why a lot of people have a hard time understanding this.


The prophecy stated that Anakin would bring BALANCE to the galaxy, it never said the light side would win. And balance he did bring.

The Jedi basically ruled the galaxy, so it wasnt in balance, the light out weighed the dark. Then when Anakin becomes Vader and kills the Jedi and the empire is started, the dark side reigns and THIS brings balance. It counter acts all the years of the light side ruling. Anakin did just as he was meant to.

Then after years of the sides evening out in the grand scheme of things, Anakin destroys the emperor and null voids everything, balance once again.

anakin is the first dark jedi to ever return to the light side.. that has to count for something as far as being a "ghost" goes. in order for a jedi to appear in the afterlife, he must "kill himself" kinda, like obi-wan did. you also see yoda disappearing when he dies. what puzzles me though is that anakin doesn't disappear when he dies, his body if burnt. that is the only thing about the end of return of the jedi that doesnt add up. then again, even though we're used to think of luke as the big jedi, anakin was indeed the "chosen one" in the prophecies. that, too, has to cound for something lol.

Yeh but qui-gon jinn did not ''kill himself'' , he was brutelly stabbed with a lightsaber and was also burned, Yoda informs obi-wan that since his death jinn has found the way to eternal life or some shit and this was passed on i guess to yoda, obi-wan. obi wan and yoda dont give a shit about dying cos they know they can live on as spirits.
Anakin/darth does not disapear cos he is not aware of these teachings but i guess yoda and obi taught him how to return as a ghost, i guess they just forgave him for killing loads of little kiddie jedi!
