Film & TV Star Trek Into Darkness

Just saw. Watchable, but nothing really special. I hate prequels and I hate different actors playing the same roles others have made their own. This movie presses all the expected Star Trek buttons but does nothing new. Same exact logical-Spock jokes as the original series. Action-wise, Iron Man 3 was more intense. From 1-10, I give this a 6. If you liked the last one, this is about the same.

This one actually did disappoint. But hey, I'm not a Trekkie, the only things I know about the original series is the character of Spock and the fact that red-shirts die. So maybe this film was true to the original series in ways I wouldn't notice, so I'm judging it as a pure action film. Garbage to me. I mean, what happened with all the suspense that kept building throughout the movie. I was expecting an interstellar starfight for the survival of mankind. 5/10.
