Two of the top grossing films of 2005 so far aren't original ideas (The Longest Yard and Constantine)

It's not that bad. Besides, think about some of the films we'd never have got to see if people hadn't taken the ideas from other sources. The Godfather, Goodfellas, Lord of the Rings, Fight Club, Scarface, Carlito's Way...

None of the top grossing films for the past 3 years have been remakes. I don't see a huge number of film remakes hitting cinemas, please point them out to me. King Kong, Longest Yard and Ocean's Eleven are the only three I can think of.
