I enjoyed it very much and finished it in a few hours. This is coming from a guy who doesn't have the attention span to last more than a few pages at a time.

For those of you who are unfamiliar, Inglorious Bastards is a film script that Quentin Tarantino's been working on for a long time and he claims it to be his best work yet. The story involves some Jewish American soldiers (the Bastards) and their mission in German occupied France of WWII.

It starts off fairly slow, witth a few different subplots/story set-ups going on and the back and forth edit of the the scenes reminded me of how Pulp Fiction's story telling came together (please take that very lightly). The story picks up some years after the opening chapter, and this is when the characters we're introduced to come together to give you a sense of where it is all headed. It's action, it's suspense and it's sprinkled with great characters and Tarantino-violence. Tarantino claims that he researched the subject and he reveals details of that era but the story itself is completely made up. This story never happened in real life but it would be one crazy chapter in the history books if it was. I guess that makes it more enjoyable.

The great Brad Pitt is said to be playing the leading role - the leader of the Inglorious Bastards. I knew this information before hand so I kept picturing Tyler Durden the whole time, as many others did I'm sure. It works. Another name that came up is DiCaprio. According to buzz, Tarantino wants Leo to play a Nazi nicknamed "The Jew Hunter" - Now, DiCaprio can act like a motherfucker but I just could not picture him playing The Jew Hunter - even more so after considering the fact that like half of the movie is in German and French with English subtitles.

Anyway, I love the script. It is a great story and to my surprise, I'm more anxious to see how this story is painted on the screen. Reading the (great) ending didn't ruin it for me (so far) - I'm really ready to get my ass kicked by this film. I think this could be one of those movies that you can watch again and again *cough*pulpfiction*cough*.

If anybody's interested, I'll PM you the PDFs.

PS> I giggled at the the last line.

I like DiCaprio as an actor but he is so miscast is so many things it's ridiculous. Years and years ago this was a movie that could of brought together Arnold, Sly and Bruce Willis.

Now it seems very unlikely, I'm gonna see it for sure when it comes out. The casting should be interesting, we'll see.
