With the recent abductions and murders at the hands of repeat sex offenders and now them getting Viagra through Medicaid, alot of states should be rethinking the way they keep up with them. Seems alot of these people are being released into society with little tracking methods to keep up with them. Personally, by me having 3 small children and being terrified of something like that happening to them, I don't think they need to be released at all. Keep them bastards locked up for life if you ask me. Now I'm not talking about an 18 or 20 year old that is having sex with a willing 15 or 16 year old, I'm talking about these sick bastards that are old men preying on little girls and sometimes even little boys. Those are the scum that need to be locked up and the key thrown away. How do you have someone selling drugs in prison for 20 years and someone raping or molesting a child in prison for 10? I'd quite honestly rather someone sell one of my children drugs than to rape or molest them. Least that way maybe I could do something about them having the drugs. What can you do for a child that has been raped or molested? And that's not saying anything about the ones that murder these innocent children after they've done their thing with them. It literally makes me sick to my stomach to think of these old ass men doing these things to these babies. Castrate them and lock them up til they die sounds like a fitting punishment to me.
Okay, I'm done ranting now. What are y'alls thoughts on the subject?

Rape carries a life sentence here. Mere indecent assault has a penalty of ten years or something. Are you serious people only get 10 years for rape there...or is that an exaggeration? The courts here also have the discretionary right to extend a prison sentence if they fear repeat offences, but that is a touchy subject (it is like sentencing someone for a crime they have not and may not committ), so it is used sparingly and only upon good evidence...

Yeah, seriously there are people here that are only in for 10 years for first degree criminal sexual conduct, which is rape. Hell there are people that only got 30 years for murder, with parole hearings scheduled after 20-25 years. Here you hafta serve 85% of your sentence unless you're given a straight sentence in which you serve the full term given. I have access to the website for incarcerated inmates and it blows my mind how many people are in for light sentences on things they should be in for life and stiff sentences for lesser crimes. Our judicial system really has it's priorities outta whack. It just gets me how someone can get 5 years for breaking into a vehicle, only 10 for rape and life for burglary.

in my coutry, for rape you can get 2 or 3 years maximum... nothing more...

i live in an european democratic country

i think thats sick... but its the way it is here :(
