Seafood

It's funny when people say sushi and raw fish is gross yet they have no problem eating ground beef.

Fatty Tuna
Anago
Hamachi
Sake

Unagi is a freshwater eel but it's my favorite. Caterpillar Rolls are crazy good. Tekka Rolls and Tataki Rolls are also good.

Because salty is Japanese, him not eating sushi is punishable by law.

Living by the Great Lakes, I like Lake Erie Perch, cant get enough of that. Like walleye, marlin, catfish, lobster, cod, orange roughy,

I do not like Shrimp Cocktail, an Crab Legs. (YUCK).

One day i would like to try Sushi just for the hell of it.

^you're right katie :-) people with poor liver condition might want to avoid it just in case. i'm not denying the parasites in fish. i'm saying they could write the same kind of article about chicken, pork and beef. they love to scare ya, that's how they stay in business. I read the parts where they talk about parasties and they're not saying anything insightful. "raw food is more dangerous than cooked food" & "there are no guarantees, but then neither are there for other raw foods like clams, oysters, eggs, and beef. Perhaps we each must determine our own risk-to-pleasure ratio and dine accordingly". I work with raw fish everyday and I eat em everyday. I'm not sick. Neither are millions of people that eat sushi or raw fish. Sushi chefs know about the dangers so caution is put in when handling raw fish. I do. I see severs eating leftover sushi that's been sitting out for some time and I'm surprised that none them get sick. Anyway, anything we put in our mouth has the potential of making us sick so that tiny small chance shouldn't prevent you from trying something that's close to a tradition. I consider it an art, it's been around for 200 years. It's beautiful and delicious. Try some at a proper restaurant. there are veggie sushi's too if that's to your liking.

Shrimp Tempura (deep fried)

More of a snack food but good nonetheless. Squid inside batter made from special powder. It's pretty tricky to cook it nice and round like that..

Sushi & deep fried calamari is good.

Tried mussels for the first time the other week, they're brilliant.

If I eat any other type of fish, its gotta be marinated or cooked with something, cant stand the taste of the fish market.

I place full confidence in sushi, I love it, and you're defintely right with the whole bullshit reporting angle of 'raw food is more dangerous than cooked food'.

The only awful thing I heard about sushi was recently. A news investigation reported a sushi chain because they were transporting sushi from Sydney to Melbourne, which by car takes a long ass time, in a van that was not refrigerated. They no longer operate commercially.
