^you're right katie

people with poor liver condition might want to avoid it just in case. i'm not denying the parasites in fish. i'm saying they could write the same kind of article about chicken, pork and beef. they love to scare ya, that's how they stay in business. I read the parts where they talk about parasties and they're not saying anything insightful. "raw food is more dangerous than cooked food" & "there are no guarantees, but then neither are there for other raw foods like clams, oysters, eggs, and beef. Perhaps we each must determine our own risk-to-pleasure ratio and dine accordingly". I work with raw fish everyday and I eat em everyday. I'm not sick. Neither are millions of people that eat sushi or raw fish. Sushi chefs know about the dangers so caution is put in when handling raw fish. I do. I see severs eating leftover sushi that's been sitting out for some time and I'm surprised that none them get sick. Anyway, anything we put in our mouth has the potential of making us sick so that tiny small chance shouldn't prevent you from trying something that's close to a tradition. I consider it an art, it's been around for 200 years. It's beautiful and delicious. Try some at a proper restaurant. there are veggie sushi's too if that's to your liking.
