A schoolgirl who was attacked by a gang of girls after winning two awards says she fears that a similar incident could happen again.
Aspiring model Danielle Price, 15, was treated for facial injuries after the assault which took place during a morning break.
A 15-year-old girl who was suspended over the attack at Llangatwg Comprehensive in Neath, South Wales, last Friday is due to return to classes today.
Danielle told ITV1's GMTV programme she was worried "because it could happen again, even worse maybe".
But she said she planned to ignore the girl "and hopefully the teachers will deal with her".
Danielle's mother, Viv, said she was impressed with the school's swift decision to suspend the girl, but is worried about Danielle having to come face-to-face with her.
Mrs Price said: "It's knocked her confidence. But she's going to carry on and not let the bullies win.
"But if there's any more problems I will have to pull her out of the school and have her study at home. Something terrible could happen if it's allowed to carry on."
Danielle, a Year 10 pupil, was targeted by the bullies after being presented with the awards during the morning assembly for coming top of her class in German and humanities.
Mrs Price said her daughter had been "lured" into a trap by the gang before being punched.
South Wales Police have launched an investigation into the assault.
