Just wondering people's opinions compared to the price and performance:

Go for Sony. It's a great TV.

edit: wow it's twice as expensive. If you could get it for cheaper then it's really worth it.
That LG is a very basic model.

i looked at it yesterday and the LG is 50Hz and Sony is 100Hz, includes Freeview HD, Internet etc..

was just trying to buy before the new year because VAT is increasing to 20% so the january sales wont be any cheaper, probably more expensive than the prices now.

yeah also there's a different panel type in that Sony TV which is much better for casual watching and movies. Most of all better black levels and thus contrast.
