Sad day for me

$100,000? Very similar to the debts my family is in. At first it was very stressful, we had enjoyed financial security for a very long time. But when that kind of burden hits you find it difficult to cope at first. But we pulled together and are working our asses off to pay it back. Kinda sucks becasue my father and my brother and me work really hard all month and at the end of it we're still in the red :( . but its not so bad now i've kinda got used to it and its helped build charachter as i've never really had this much responsibility before. But it must be much worse for you, its come through no choice of your own and you've had to take a second mortgage, the interest on that is going to add alot on top and then if you don't keep up with payments you lose the house aswell :(

Take care Aristotle. My thoughts go out to your brother and family. Pray 4 better days, and you will find them soon enough.

I'm sellin my car also, I think I'm gonna cry for that. We are taking a second mortgage on our house too.
I've been thinking about using Dial-Up but don't you need to sign up with a credit card? I don't have one at the time, wouldn't be hard to get one though.
People usually give good advice but with this I don't know.
Besides my Grandfathers hospital bils we are still paying for when he had cancer and surgery and all that my brother was in a motorcycle accident 2 days ago. He pretty much wrapped his legs around a telephone pole. Both legs are completely broken but they think they might have to amputate one. Hopefully they can fix it, but that will take countless surgeries and months of rehab and months in the hospital. He does not have insurance so it is all out of our families pocket. I don't want them to just amputate his leg so I told my family we are going to get him through this physically and financially. My brother deserves it man I can't sit here and let that happen so sacrifices will be made. One doctor told us things could cost upwards of $100,000 but I'm hoping he is wrong. So to start I'm getting rid of all my things like cell phone, internet, magazine subscriptions, things I don't really need, but I am also selling my car. Hopefully this will cover most of it. But thanks for the advice and hopefully I'll be back soon, see what Netzero can do for me.

hope things will get better sooner or later. good luck :thumb:

Do what you must but get through it.

Tough times must happen for without them good ones wouldn't be as good, keep your head up and stay strong.

See this is why I'm gonna miss comin here, people are tight, thanks everyone.
I'll be back though, and yeah it is a test of character, my will, just my life, this is life. And SOFI dont feel bad or whatever, there is nothing I can do about it, he is a live and thats all that matters. Just sucks to come from nothing to have a home and all this and then go back to where I was, seems unfair but it's life. But thanks for the comments and I'll be on periodically hopefully.

Hope the financial issues resolve themselves and that everything works out for your brother and your family.
