Ryan Dunn of Jackass killed in Car Crash

It's only luck that he didn't kill an innocent bystander. Even if he wasn't drunk he was going double the speed limit at least! The road is not a race track, you are not in control or aware of whether any other cars are entering that road you are gunning down. I feel sorry for his family, but he made a shitty decision that ended his and another persons life.. Only LUCK that he didn't kill anyone else.
Now if he was drunk that's doubly stupid. I hate driving if I have drunk any alcohol and tend to avoid driving once I have. I feel too many people have this invisibility mentality that leads them to do stupid things.

People make mistakes, but that's no excuse. He was a Jackass.

His passenger was his drinking buddy from the bar he was at.

Also, he had 3 beers and 3 shots. But there are conflicting stories on his 'drunkenness' His friends say he was OK, but other people at the bar said he was pretty drunk. He looks pretty glassy eyed in all the pics from that night, but he might have been high :p

Anyway, he was do 130MPH!!!!! WTF, Sober or not thats fucking stupid

It's still media reports. Until I get a toxicology report confirming his drunkenness, I will not pass it as facts.

But... I agree. He behaved like an arsehole. As many of us have, probably many a time. He won't get to apologise for his mistakes. I, personally, have some compassion for that.

Again, I agree. And he was at an age where he should have known better.

I have sped excessively in my life at times. But I was 17 years old.

He was in the countryside and it was 2am. I am probably more annoyed at those who drive down residential roads where kids play and cars are parked reducing visibility, at 40mph.

I dont know what you jackasses are talking about, America has more cases of DUI than any other country in the world. And what do you get? A fine? Banned from driving for a month? Wtf is that bullshit, its all most like its socially acceptable there? You drink and drive in England, you get banned for 3 years. Fix the problem at home before pointing fingers.
Do you want to know how many deaths caused by drink driving in the UK in 2010?
380.
Compare that figure to Ristols from his earlier post regarding the United States.
That is because we have addressed the issue, it is regarded as highly anti-social. We test alcohol in the breath at roadside and in the blood at a Police Station. Bans are severe and so are fines. If Americans think the freeway into LA is busy or that New York is congested they should see the amount of cars on our tiny Island.

* Gets off my elitist high horse ;)

No place (besides a blocked off road or race track) is safe. A friend of mine (years ago) was driving in the Hills on his motorbike. Going some ridiculous speed down a long straight road at night. Middle of nowhere type stuff. Up ahead he saw a car pull out, slowed a bit but realised the car had pulled to the other side of the road so thought he was right to keep going, infact accelerate more. Only that car had a horse trailer on the back which had no side lights/reflectors. He hit it and died what we believe to be instantly. He was a mess. I wasn't good friends with him but I was close to people who were. It tortured them. Although in his case he only killed himself, it affects everyone who knew him. That's why I believe there is NO SAFE PLACE outside a controlled area to speed.

You're looking at a guy who takes ridiculous chances as an entertainer. If anything, I'd categorize him as an adrenalin junkie. Take that kind of person and give him a Porsche, and he will speed. Fuck, give anyone a Porsche and they'll speed.

That being said, while it was stupid of him if he was drunk behind the wheel and speeding, it's still a shame that he died, and he shouldn't be crucified. Let me open up your closets and see what kind of fucked up stupidities you've done. We all have em, some more extreme than others - only difference is we lived and he died.

I think you are being sarcastic. But I also believe child bombers are victims.
So do I. But children are innocent. He wasnt in ANY way. Sober or not.

Dont get me wrong, I liked the guy. I know the people who run Gumball 3000 and worked with him alot... and they all say he was probably the nicest guy in the world.

he made a bad decision and it cost him his life. Likewise, his friend did too

RIP to both of them.

who was the other guy btw?

^^ Zachary Hartwell

He worked on the jackass movies and did some other stuff

Also, cops have said he was nearly 2.5 times over the legal limit

Not only was he driving drunk, but I heard he was shooting a gun into crowds as he passed by.

Thats not really the only difference.

I think it's weird to say someone deserved to die. But it's Sebastian, so it's to be expected.

How is it weird?

The whole idea of death being deserved. and coming from a guy who can't relate to recklessness in any way, shape, or form.

@Prize Gotti: the laws in some states aren't as strict as you'd like, so all Americans are disqualified from the conversation? If you really believe that you're a HUGE silly billy.

@Sam I Am: point taken but he's still responsible for his actions. It's his decision. Drunkenness doesn't really mitigate the wrongness.

Of course he didn't deserve to die. I was just saying I prefer what happened to what could have happened (e.g. him killing someone else). And the "RIP unidentified passenger" thing was a lame attempt at humor. Unidentified passenger gets no love, is all I was saying.
