RIP Dani Jargue

26 year old Espanyol defender and captain died from a suspected heart attack today. Saw him play against Liverpool the other day. He was a good player.

so sad. RIP.

Apparantly he was talking to his girlfriend on the phone when he suffered a heart attack.

Another footy player suddenly dying over heart failure. That's a bad trend.

I saw this guy play a few times last season with Espanyol. I took a special interest in Espanyol towards the start of last season because Finnan had joined so i became more familiar with their players. If you think back to the 2007 UEFA Cup final. Antonio Puerta lined up at centre half for Sevilla and Jarque at centre half for Espanyol. 3 years on and both players have died in similar cirmcumstance. Its hard to believe.

He was just recently made captain of Espanyol for the new season. His girlfriend is due to give birth next month. awful sad.

He was a close friend of Andres Iniesta as well.
