We got Greatest hits with four unheard tracks, these were 99.9% original. And these songs were perfect, I just cant think what my life would be like if they decided to leak unconditional love or troublesome in the year 2000 and chop and change them.
But thank god, that did not happen.

Then we got R U STILL DOWN. This album has to be one of the best after pacs death, it was a good era where pac did not have his biggie beef, and that thuglife image reappeard. We know this album was tweaked abit, but nothing drastick like we have seen in L2TG.

And then the rest is history. I think if everything got released asap after pacs death then we would of heard the best of pac, but we would not get the 10 year + legacy. So I think his music was doomed from the word go, he more than likely would not want it released because he thought it was not good enough, but who knows. Maybe he made it to give his mother some security if he died.??

Just thankful we have been giving the chance to here his music. I am gonna pump out some R U S D.

rizla is correct, changes isn't OG

and yeah, RUSD came out in 97

regardless, it was the best posthumous release by far

yeah, i actually bought gh first then rusd second, my bad, but yeah, the first releases were the best,

omg error on tupac board, y the fuck is there losts of my threads

i must look a right dick now :(

RUSD had many non OG beats, it just you guys hate on the newer albums cos they are mixed even more.

Bet the dude who started the post thinks RUSD had ALL OGS.

hellrazor, thug style, i wonder if heaven got a ghetto, 16 on death row, do for love, fuck all yall, let them thangs go

those were some dope remixes man, amaru did a solid job on those

however EDI needs a slap for removing Stretch and Majesty from Enemies With Me

I think it was all the complaining that fans did over UTEOT and Better dayz.

IMO, those were two GREAT GREAT albums, had good songs, mostly all pac, good beats (UTEOT being a bit better)

But all the "real" fans complained about them not having real beats, being old out of style and boring beats on them. Like million dollar vocals, being added to ten cent beats.

So what does amaru do, the only thing they think makes sense, which it does, to sign absolute A list people to produce the beats, people who know what's hot these days. But along with this is also going to come the new rappers and what not getting put on the songs.

I think if so many people wouldn't have came down so hard on UTEOT and better dayz, than amaru wouldn't have felt a need to change things, and as it just so happens, the change was for the worse.

2 tell you the truth none of my friends listen to pac. if they have then it was only the album lttg. right now i am mad to c what they have done to his music comming out soon but on the otherhand i m glad to c music still being released. so be happy that we are getting releases because the day that all 2pac material has been put out is probally sooner then we think. imo.. peace.

Well back then, the only standard posthumous albums like rusd, uteot, and better dayz were compared to pac's alive albums, which are high standard lps. I remember back in the day, not being impressed with rusd, uteot, or bd, but as time moved on I appreciated it, especially when lttg came out.

The thing is that even though people complained back then, the posthumous albums before 2002 were at least listenable, but fans always demand the best. Now the albums aren't even worth a listen.

The only thing Amaru needs to do is to stop putting all these wack rappers on his songs. Fans never requested for more guest appearances. Pac was selling before Eminem came into the pic, so I don't understand why Amaru or Interscope made that decision.

Anyway, I heard this new Pac album is a tribute album and that his real album will come out in March-April. Can someone confirm this or bring their thoughts on this?

RUSD is mos def a dope album and probably the most of any Pac posthumous releases that sound like something he woulda put out, I would honestly put it behind Better Dayz though I think that was the bomb album

RUSD was a really good album, but my favorite posthomous would have to be SIR. Some of tha songs were left in OG form and the ones they did change were really good, sometimes better than tha OG (Black Jesuz, Tattoo Tears, The Good Die Young). Too bad Secretz Of War and U Can Be Touched we absolutely slaughtered.

nah, not all ogs, we are talking about amaru here lol

but there were a lot og og touch ups or vibe on that album,

Open Fire
R U Still Down? (Remember Me)
Hellrazor
Thug Style
I Wonder if Heaven Got a Ghetto

just a few remakes of the ogs, and some are better, like the hellrazor is better than the og, obviously open fire is touched up

def a classic pac album,

p.s on the note of better days and until the end of time i think they were solid albums, like somebody else, at the time they were released i did not care as much with some of that wack shit for example thug nature with little mo and a few more , but now its like these are good albums because they are wayyyyyyy better than L2TG. :thumb:

UTEOT was when the wheels fell off and it is all downhill from there. I like Still I Rise & RUSD, I liked a couple songs from UTEOT, less on BD and 2 from LTTG. The next just doesn't look promising
