It happens. Refs, officials, stewards all of them favor the favorite team in all sports. Unfortunately its extremely difficult to provide the evidence to prove the point.

yeah without a doubt.

NBA: you got the possible Kobe v Lebron finals this year. the refs get the call from the office work the games in their favor.

NFL: its possible, refs fixing the games especially when the patriots had their SB run's. and the networks letting them know that New England is getting ratings numbers

one day it will come to light that games were fixed for certain teams favor.

Yeah especially when they are at home. Man Utd at the stretford end/Liverpool at the Kop etc then the referee is obviously gonna feel under more pressure.

Don't forget in World Cups. Bigger, well known countries that bring in more money seem to be favored also imo

Case in point the last WC Italy Vs Australia.. We were robbed! :fury:

Anywho to a certain extent this does happen, but the best teams usually are the best because they know how to play the game to their advantage..

^^^^OH MAN!! I watched that game and honestly I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I've no links with Aussie but, I was gut-wrenched when watching that game. Not to mention the crap statement Blatter gave regarding that game as well.

There's a difference between fucking up a call and deliberately favouring one team over the other.

About the latter, I'm not so sure it's *that* common. Usually sore losers come with it, lol.
