Reason why eminem is a genious!

Don't know when the fuck Hail Mary came into it, but I agree.

LOL, I was just comparing HDUWI to another huge Pac hit. The point was that HDUWI is a fucking hugely popular song.

I know it did well but, like I say, the essence of the song is such that I cannot put it in the same category as most 'pop' songs.

Dude, you're only lying to yourself. Even the music on Keep Ya Head Up is pure pop.

There are exceptions to be made & this is one of them. And believe me when I say, it is the message of the song rather than 2Pac that makes me feel this way about it.

They say there are "exceptions to every rule" but in this case, I don't buy it. Pop is pop. Michael Jackson is considered pop and he's had some extremely deep and emotional songs (i.e. Man In The Mirror).

As for the double standard.

On one hand you've got an artist (Artist A) whose songs have a 'pop' beat, pretty throwaway lyrics & songs which were always intended to be a 'pop' song.

While I don't like Em's pop songs like "Without Me", and "Real Slim Shady", lyrically they're good, but they're good in regards to punchlines and wordplay, rather than emotion and feeling.

On the other hand you've got an artist (Artist B) whose songs have insightful lyrics, passion, were never meant to be 'pop' songs & either, 1. somehow became a hit, or 2. had a 'pop' beat put under the lyrics after the artist was dead.

TONS of 2pac's songs made while he was alive were pop, this is what your ignoring.

I suppose this is a double standard, but it is one I agree with.

Lol, well, I don't, but at least you acknowledge it's there.

I was saying I felt Mosh was a poor attempt at being political & that Eminem showed when it comes to worldwide politics he couldn't cut it.

And see, I just don't agree. I think he just fell short on Mosh...had a bad day...that's all there is to it.

No, no, I wasn't saying they weren't. We had already agreed that 2Pac had 'pop' songs, I thought that issue was done. All I was doing there was giving you an idea of the ones which you probably consider 'pop' which I don't & why I don't.

Maybe I should've elaborated....

Eminem produced LTTG as a marketing ploy, that's why he didn't want to get paid for it, bcuz indirectly, he was promoting g-unit even more(even though they really don't need to be promoted more), and most importantly his producing so he can add producing a 2pac album on his resume. I believe amaru were blind, they said oh shit, hell it's free,it's eminen producing, hell we gonna sell a shitload of these units. That's why they let him fuck up the album as much as he wants and fuck with the vocals and shit. But what they failed to realize was that eminem played them. That was a pretty slick move by em. He seemed all innocent and shit but in the end he fucked amaru.

im sure eminem will be heading into a job interview sometime soon and will need anything else on his resume....... the mans gone platinum enough on his own he doesnt need to add pac to his resume. whatever he does is almost an instant hit.

that wasnt a "slick move" by eminem. he is just a selfish fuck and coulnt give a damn about the album... 3 days in the studio... for 13 beats!!!!! didnt take his time, he just wanted to get it over with.... FUCK EMINEM... just my opinion of course : )

It doesn't mean a real resume that you take to a job interview, it's meant that it will give him more credibility because he produced a pac album.

Pac made many songs in a day, yet no one complains about that, so don't give me the bullshit 'it was rushed' excuse.
