Raekwon - Shaolin vs Wu-Tang

the middle sags--rich and black and from the hills aren't terrible but in sequence with rock n roll, they're exhausting-but overall i like it a lot. rae sounds a lot more comfortable on this than the last one, which by comparison seems like it was pretty... forced. i think the brevity works in its favor a lot. outside the wart in the middle, the tracks end as soon as the beat or flow starts to lose its freshness. seems like rae decided not to overthink this one and just let the bitch breathe (c) hov. i haven't had such a favorable initial reaction to a wu joint since supreme clientele.

"still gritty, leave the pretty to the females"

I enjoy Rick Ross' verse more than Raekwon's and Ghost's.
