Alright, I met with an old friend of mine over lunch today to discuss this thing. For those who aren't familiar with it, it's basically a website that sells products, but you can get a percentage of it back. What you do is you get 50 people to sign up under you, and instead of going out to Wal-Mart and shopping, you all buy your products through Quixtar and points are given. Everyone who is under you contributes to your total point value and you get a certain percentage of the actual amount of money depending on how much everyone on that "leg" buys. Like this:
Average point value per actual dollar is 1 point per $2.50
Everyone spends $250 that month (100 points per person)
100 points times 50 people is 5000 points total, which say puts you in the 20% range
Then you get a check for 20% of the actual money value (250 * 50 = $12500.. 12500 * .2 = $2500)
Then you can make more legs and get more money with more points.
My question: Is anyone familiar with this or anything similar? Is it something worth getting into, or shoul di run away?
