I have 3 versions of this track...the retail version ft. Buju Banton from the "ONE MILLION STRONG" album that has the "police edits", the fully uncensored "street version" ft. Buju Banton and the other fully uncensored version with a female reggae artist.

All these years I never realized there is a skip in the fully uncensored "street version" ft. Buju Banton that I have. In Biggie's second verse instead of "2 cops is on the milkbox missin", mine skips and is only "box missin". Just curious if this version is available without the skip. I've checked through old bootlegs and mp3's and they all seem to have that skip that the other 2 versions don't. Thanks in advance for any info!

there should be a full uncensored version, aswell as a short edit, both released in '95 by booty records

i didnt know there was a version wit buju... u sure its offical and not a remix?
not sure. gotta be mentioned somewhere in the album credits, who own the original album should know it.

Dante has made several posts over the past few years outlining the details of each version of Runnin made. Try searching for it, but I have a feeling he'll post on this thread and recant the same information from his old threads.

since i'm not at home to listen to every one of the 1000 versions of runnin, i'd recommend doing a search. hopefully someone pasted over that explanation since it was before the db loss.

offhand i'd guess that the police references are intact in the 1995 promo cd, because i seem to remember them still being edited even in "explicit" or "street" versions. i could be wrong though. kinda purged it from my brain when i made that post.

lol all i know is the version of one million strong that i have doesn't have police references edited out, i don't know if its legit or a bootleg as i bought it off a friend some years ago, but i know there are others who said their version on this album wasn't edited either

Thankfully, you reposted the breakdown after the crash. I remember you posting in the late summer/ early fall of 05. I have tried searching for it with no luck. Bank robber tried to take a stab at it, then you came in and said the 6 versions or so. I will comb through Life until I find it.

for fuck's sake. it is NOT buju banton on that track. don't know where that came from, it's a random ragga singer.

Version's with Buju Banton & Paula Lobos are remixs :p
