question about Em, Dr. Dre and LTTG

I see no point in making new Tupac albums especially with the generic beats that Em makes. If it where produced by Timbaland or K.West it would've given 2pac a new dimension instead of just rehashing the same old beats for the same old songs.

He did it to get props from 2pac fans, guess his little plan backfired to certain degree or him making pac sound like shit makes people think 2pac is wack therefore giving him a larger fanbase either way.

I wonder what goes through peoples heads!!!!

Do you honestly believe what you've typed?

If so I'd like to donate your brain to Science.

It would've been wrong to sign the greatest producer of all-time to produce the greatest rapper of all time's CD? What? I'm not getting why that would be wrong. Fuck the beef that they had, Dre's actually a competent producer...something that Eminem has never been and never will be. He's a genius and had he done the entire CD it'd be one of the best ever released under the 2Pac brand. EXPLAIN yourself newbies!

newbies? lmao, speak for yourself.

you say fuck the beef, but you're just speaking for yourself.the beef means nothing to you anyways. its still disrespectful for dre to produce for pac.

if you were a rapper, and you had beef with a producer, then you died. do you think it would be appropriate for this person to produce an album for you? i think not. if you find nothing wrong with that then i feel sorry for you.

i disagree.
pac stated several times that he admired dre as a pioneer who established the foundation for west coast rap. pac's beef with dre had more to do with pac being suge's puppet than with any direct beef between the two. suge is a manipulator, and when death row was big, if you crossed suge then everyone was going to get on your ass.

if dre comes with something good, i'd rather see someone who is revered for his production work than some wannabe producer who has the same song (but with different instruments) 13 times on a cd.

I am well aware that pac admired dre's work, Anybody challenging dre's skills is a hater.

But are you saying pac never would have had beef with dre if it wasnt for suge? Because I don't see it that way.

Pac clearly stated why he had the beef. You know what happened at the Snoop trial. So I don't see how suge could have put this in pac's head when clearly it makes sense for pac to lose respect for dre as a person without anyone else's opinion(suge).

I also heard something about dre claiming he made a beat when it was daz's beat and pac also got mad at dre. This could have also contributed to the situation. I'm not sure how true this is.

I wouldn't care if a producer I had beef with produced my CD after I died. Y'know why? BECAUSE I'D BE DEAD. The beefs that Pac had while he was alive (besides the one with Mobb Deep, or Biggie) shouldn't matter with the posthumous material. Make quality music, don't sacrifice that quality just because Pac had a spat with a certain rapper or producer.

People turning on Dre was mostly Suge's doing. Dre already started to distance himself from Death Row, knowing all the pointless bullshit that was going on, and Pac didn't help it. According to Pac from the In His Own Words interview, he said that a witness had claimed that Dre was in Snoop's Jeep Grand Cherokee but Dre didn't show up to refute that witness's testimony. I don't know how much truth there is to that though, it sounds kind of far-fetched for a witness to make shit up like that. And if it were true, then Snoop would never have wanted to be down with him again, but I remember right after his case was over, Snoop was asking Dre to help him with Tha Doggfather but Dre didn't want to (because he didn't want to be connected with Death Row). But let's not forget how easily Suge can influence people.

Think back to the Pac interview (not from The Last Interview CD but from the same interview), he says something like, "He is a dope producer, but he ain't worked in years. I'm out here, droppin' albums, whoopin' niggas' asses, startin' wars, puttin' it down, and this nigga's taking three years to do one song. I couldn't have that." That's more the mentality of Suge than of Pac, it's just that it was coming out of Pac's mouth.

Regarding the beats, I remember hearing that Dre supposedly claimed Got My Mind Made Up, and Pac was talking about it around Daz, but Daz interjected and insisted that it was his beat. Regardless, it was Daz who was credited for it anyway in the All Eyez on Me booklet.

If the thing is that you don't want any1 that had beef with 2pac b4 his death affiliated with his music, then i guess that has already happened (Jay Z, Nas)...so what's so wrong with letting the greatest producer of all time IMO revive the greatest rapper?

Jay-Z was never on any official releases with Pac, the closest thing was his sampling of "Me & My Girlfriend" for his "03 Bonnie & Clyde" and then people mixed the two songs. And regarding Nas, there are a few rappers close to Pac who were there the night Pac and Nas confronted each other and squashed their beef after the 1996 MTV VMAs.

...and just as many disagree that pac and nas deaded the beef. nas backed off, that doesn't instantly mean they're best pals now.
