Well all the unreleased tracks I have have terrible quality. It would make sence, but Im just wondering if everyones versions also sound like they were recorded off a stereo.

Most the shit out there now adays is starting to get up there towards near cdq. Theres still some stuff thats in the fair to ok range... but more and more you'll find stuff thats getting closer to a near cdq version.

According to Dante, most of the shit we have was cycled through cassette tape trades and ended up on the internet in bad quality. The good shit is on original 96/97 bootlegs. Obviously someone ripped those or got better tracks somewhere, since there are alot of "CDQ" tracks around (true 320 encodes, the closest to cdq in an mp3)

Only unreleased track I got that's not CD quality is Street Life with Snoop Dogg first Play Your Cards Right and that joint with Madonna was bad but I got a hold of CD quality songs for both of them

are there CDQ versions of Thug Nigga, Bury Me A G Solo or Hell For A Hustla OG?

Thug Nigga-no, it sounds like it was recorded with a tape recorder.

close? yes. cdq? no. play your all eyez on me cd and tell me that track is as clean, as well-mastered and as crisp as any track off of that album. it misses some purity in the high frequencies and there is a slight hiss. that hardly qualifies for cdq. the tagged version is pretty clean, although that too isn't perfect.

Yes I Have an untagged version that is not far off but as you say it isn't as clear as anything that is on AEOM

some of you guys have to remember that since these sounds havent been professionally mixed down with current technology, the rips we have, AT BEST, are 1996's standard for cdq

and for the record, hell 4 a hustler is available in cdq if you look hard enough
