Some parts drag-on, but the gun fights are quite awesome. If we to rate it on 10... it would be a 7/10 .. I liked it, but didn't live up to what I had in mind, and what I knew about Dillenger.
My friends and I went to see this one day, just because we had nothing better to do, and I actually ended up liking it. I tend to stay away from these hyper-masculine, gun-totting movies as a general rule -- I mean I enjoy a good gangster flick or two, they just have to be of a certain caliber. Yes and I even liked the way it was filmed, it was a bit unconventional and uncommercial -- the convulsing of the camera hand gave the movie the jolt it needed for the action film it was.
i enjoyed it and i recommend it to everybody whos into gangsta flicks.
i like the chick in the movie when the fat FBI agent was slappin her around. * when Johnny finds out you were slappin his girl around he's gonna put a bullet in you fatboy*. (LOL)
Christian Bale played a good part in this too suprisingly. i was caught off guard at the cameo appearance of Leelee Sobieski at the end too.
the one thing that bothered me was factual inaccuracies. i know movies take liberties with true stories, but one major one is at the beginning (i'm not going to spoil it). also, they are listing to a baseball game of the cubs versus...the yankees? there was no interleague back then, it wasn't the world series, and on that date, the cubs were playing the phillies. c'mon, mann, do your research.
I saw it 4th of july weekend it was sooooooo boring I almost fell asleep had to do other things just to keep me awake, was way too long and the story was confusing at times. Thought it'd be good but it was a waste of $10 smh.
