The game isn't much different to 4. It's a little harder which is good.

lol But the ai has improved and character animations, and they look better... And smoother play. People who play it often will notice differences.
The thing that bothers me the most with WE 8 is that when my players recieve a ball, they do it so amateurish. I mean, some of them put the ball like 3 meters infront of them thus losing it. Others, they take so long for turning with the ball that the opponent can catch up with you. It's really distrubing. I mostly pass a through ball cause that's the best alternative to avoid these cases but even that is fucking gay. Oh, and the passes are way too slow.
Now, I've even edited some players in having 99 in EVERYTHING just to see if they would recieve the ball the same way and they do. It's FUCKING DISTURBING.These are proffesional players not some amateurish ones. Even I can recieve a ball better then that way. Otherwise this game is flawless....

^dude quit holding the turbo button. The turbo button won't trap the ball, it will wither let the ball go, or make a lead with it in the direction your pushing. It has nothing to do with the players.
But anyway, dribbling seems to be much harder. Anyone have any tips and tricks. I used to be awesome with free kicks, and now i'm struggling. It's pissing me off.

I find changes of pace tend to throw off opposition defenders.
I'm finding free kicks a lot easier. Which is good, since I was useless before. Scoring more headers too.

And I'm not the only one complaining about this, I read a review where they say that the new WE fails in the same area. If they could improve this I'd be thrilled.
haven't played the new WE 9 yet so I don't know if they changed it.
haen't you noticed how smoothly the opponents does it while you don't? I mean, they recieve the ball and turn around in a heartbeat. That is what I would like to do, not that it's a fantasy move but that's realistic for a player that plays in any club of La Liga,Serie A,Premier League...

RFTP, i know what u mean, but you can do it also. Do the training and it shows you you can turn quickly and trap the ball at the same time. It shows it in the training of PES5, can't remember if it's in PES4
