Technology PC System Health Check

1. Any suggested free software?
2. How often should I perform these checks?
3. Don't want it to take up space or hog RAM, install ads or unnecessary bloatware/components
4. I think my fan is sounding a bit dodgy lately, so note sure if it's a sign that it's about to give way.

Also, how can I tell or estimate how long my Hard Drive has got left before it dies (in terms of life-span)?

And when the Hard Drive's life span is ended and it crashes, can I still recover stored data to transfer it over to another one, or is it too late at that point?
