Pac The Producer

pac was getting into production, and had an idea about what he wanted from pretty much early on. i don't remember all the ones he produced, but he co-produced a lot. non stop productions was originally gonna be tupac and johnny j so yeah, he was getting into producing.

pac produced some beats with johhny j together

hit em up, all about u, whatz ur phone #, wonda why they call u bitch, thug passion,
check out time, run tha streetz...

he also produced

r u still down, nothing to lose, definition of a thug nigga, nothin but luv, 16 on death row...

yeh i was thinkin surely he would hav picked afew things up, i reckon he cud have happily got into production and made even a bigger name for himisefl imagine that pac' runnin his own label, rappin',producing, acting!!! MINTED $$$$$$$

I thought warren g produced definition of a thug nigga? I dont think pac ever produced a beat entirely on his own - as said above he co-produced alot of tracks with jonny and other producers. I think somewhere it said he came up with the piano riff that was used in 'Bomb First' coz he had a grand piano at his house and used to mess about with it trying to create melodies...

With out 2pac Johnny J lost his touch. 2pac did a lot to the production when he was around.. 2pac did more then he was credited for on booklets .

Didn't he also co-produce a lot of the rest of DK7?

Exactly how much did Pac do when it comes to producing? I've seen lists of songs that Pac "co-produced," but "co-producing" can mean anything. I remember reading in the XXL article about the making of Makaveli that Pac came up with the beats in his head and kind of "sang" the beats to the producers, and they turned it into real music, but he let them take credit for it. Did Pac really get on the drum machines and shit? Or did he just have the producers make his ideas into instrumentals?
