i picked up live from the house of blues today. it is pretty good but its not really a 2pac show but a snoop dogg show. 2pac's part doesn't seem like it was planned out properly.

anyway, in the how do you want it live music video you see footage from at least 4 different 2pac concerts. also, it seems that 2pac is the headliner of these concerts. why hasn't deathrow released these concerts in full?

do any of you have footage from these concerts or did any of you attend these concerts?

It was a mini-concert set up just for the filming of this video. From what I can tell, it was filmed at the same place, but with different outfits each time: once in the semi-formal attire (all black with the white vest), once with the red button-up shirt, once with the tight-fit blue shirt, once with the yellow jacket, and once without any shirt.

the reason pac's set seemed a little sloppy was simply that a good live show requires repeated rehearsal. while snoop had the luxury of practicing his set, pac was busy creating new songs. pac's live shows were admittingly raw, but in many ways that's what makes them intersting.

Snoop was the headliner for this concert and 2pac was more or less just a opening act, so that's why it probably seems more of a snoop show (See the booklet). Agree with the How Do U (stage version) .. it definitely seems more like a video shoot then a concert but Tracey Robinson was in charge or at least took part in the production of all the How Do U Want It videos, so she'd be the best person to contact.

In addition, Pac had just got back from Italy, he immediately went to perform at the House of Blues. This is discussed in Frank Alexander's "Got Your Back". Also, If you have 2Pac Live (mostly recored audio from Live at the House of Blues), released by Deathrow in 2003, Pac says "my bad, I just got off a plane, tired as shit." That's why he's mad sloppy. Good effort nonetheless.

right. pac arrived in italy early on june 29, performed cali love that night and attended an after party (where he performed how do u want it impromptu), then a fashion show on the morning of the 30th and another in the evening, and this pattern repeated every day he was there... he returned to america on july 4, only a few hours before the house of blues show.

the sound setup was all messed up as well. kept hearin squeaks an shiat from the mics. and altho pac was tired as hell. I could still feel his passion, gave me goose bumps :)

I read that book Got Your Back, excellent read. Also i read Hollar if you hear me which is an excellent read as well.

There was ''The night Tupac went crazy'' article and it was about concert Tupac had, when he was screaming about killing people for bad treating babies, shots were fired or something and the interesting thing is that the author of this text atended the show along with a man who had filmed that. So there is a footage of this life concert and I hope we will see it one day.

Dante, you have any info about the footage? Maybe it was discussed here and I missed it?

He performed at the fashion shows, cause every designer wanted him. U've seen the pics with Donatella Versaci etc..

There's the pic of him on the catwalk with kidada, frank and the other bodyguard whose name i can't remember right now (can be found in Got Your Back). Pac and Kidada were suppose to go by themselves on the catwalk, but then the designer(or someone in the backstage) asked why the bodyguards wasn't going too cause they look so cool. So they went through all the clothes they had there and those shirts were the only ones that would fit the dudes, as u can see they are very tight..lol
